Du 10 au 16 Aout 2010 - Denver (Colorado, USA)
"Last stop, last stop : Denver !!!", yes french readers, this article will be written in english, so our US friends can read it and share these moments with us all ! Last stop, so, it'll be in the wonderfull state of Colorado, where Delphine spent a bit more than one year 10 years ago (first time in the US for Samir), so it's a "meet again" for Delphine with her family, friends and teachers !
First let's talk about Alma and Kelly. They're very probably, with their wonderfull daughter Maggy, the nicest persons found at a mile high altitude :-) We have been received as family members and been given the best welcome possible in their wonderfull house !!!
A come back, after such a long time is like a pilgrimage, so let's come back at THE places important for Delph : her old school, first.
Chatfield HS, and it's legendary football team, the Chargers ! Even if the place has changed a bit, it gives a goose-flesh to come back here and rememore the good times. And, lucky coincidences, Delphine has met his ex-coach's wife in the school's hall and met him for a few good minutes of "good ol' times memory" between Bob and Delph !
Good ol' times, still, but this time with good ol' friends !!! After 10 years of separation, the reunion is a great time with Heather and Tony and there are 10 years to sum up in a very short time, so, we have to meet several times to tell all of our lifes... :-)
And, of course, how can we be in Colorado without visiting a bit, and enjoying the wonderfull sceneries of this facinating State. Especially those around the house where Delphine lived a few years ago... The red and green landscapes are stunning !
And family, of course !!! The kids Delphine has left grown up a bit ! Allee, Alex and Allen have become adults, with 2 wonderfull kids for Allee and her husband Logan, Ella and Clover. They're a bunch of great people !
The nice Capital, Denver ! An attractive city, with a nice museum, some historic buildings and around it still these red rocks... Ah yeah, and also some nice malls... One year without any shopping... We had to have a little revenge :-)
Talking about red rocks, the "Red Rocks Amphitheatre" area is the best place to see those rocky formations, so red that it sometimes seems unreal...
With Heather's family, her parents and her husband the wonderfull Ben (yes Ben, you are !) and THE Super-Adria, we also spent some wonderfull evenings, and had some very funny times all together (sorry Julie for Sam's ruining your Guitar Hero stats :-))
And, at last, Delphine has met some ex-teachers from Chatfield, Mrs Christensen who learned Delphine how to improve her english and Mrs Ogden, the French and psychology (the two are not related...) Chatfield ex-teacher ! And also old school friends such as Anton, and her little sister, with whom we had a great lunch !
How could we have not finished our trip with a day at the mountains around Denver with the (nearly whole family, Alma had an important conference in another State !!!) familly !?! Those massive pikes with cristal clear lakes are even more magnicient with the huge elks, the pretty deers living around ! A wonderfull day in a wonderfull place ! 
This is the end... Last stop was Denver. Next step, Paris, we'll write a last article for the very end of our trip !!!
